The Challenge with Third-Party VoIP Providers

In our early days, we leveraged third-party providers like Twilio to power our AI call agents using SIP connections. While services like Twilio are reliable, they come with critical limitations—especially for a global business focused on AI callers that need to operate 24/7 across borders.

One of the biggest constraints was geography. Many countries—particularly in the Asia-Pacific region—have strict regulations requiring domestic data routing and storage. For example, India mandates that all PSTN-to-VoIP communications stay within national borders. Why We Built Our Own VoIP Server
